Salesforce Staffing, LLC (The Salesforce Recruiter) recruits Salesforce project managers for consulting partners and for companies running Salesforce implementations. We work exclusive, direct-hire searches from Jupiter, Florida, and place US-based project managers in remote, hybrid and onsite roles.

Project manager, delivery manager or hybrid: which do you need?
A project manager runs one project: scope, schedule, budget, risks and the client relationship. A delivery manager runs a portfolio of projects and the people on them. Smaller partners often want a project manager who can also configure Salesforce. Each of these is a different candidate pool at a different salary. We settle which role to open before the search starts. Sometimes intake shows the role was mislabeled. One partner opened a solution architect search, and the work turned out to be mostly project management.
What a Salesforce project manager should be able to show you
- A project they ran from statement of work to go-live, with the budget and hours it actually took
- A change order they negotiated, and how the client relationship held up
- A project that went red, when they knew, and who they told first
- An estimate from their team they challenged, and what they knew about Salesforce that made them challenge it
- How they ran sprints, status reporting and user acceptance testing
Project managers who have only run vendors from the client side can keep a schedule. On a Salesforce project, they also need to tell when an estimate is wrong or a design will blow the budget. We test for that.
Questions we ask candidates
- Walk us through the last project that went over budget. When did you know, and what did you do that week?
- A client asks for new work in a status meeting. What do you say in the room?
- Which estimate on your last project was wrong, and how did you find out?
- Which parts of the configuration could you do yourself?
