Salesforce Practice Lead and Delivery Leadership Recruiting

    Written By:  Josh Matthews

Salesforce Staffing, LLC (The Salesforce Recruiter) recruits Salesforce practice leads, delivery directors and platform leaders. Our clients are Salesforce consulting partners building or scaling a practice, and companies that need one leader to own their Salesforce platform. We work exclusive, direct-hire searches from Jupiter, Florida, and place leaders across the US.

    Roles we recruit

    • Salesforce practice leads and practice directors at consulting partners
    • Delivery directors and VPs of delivery
    • Managed services and support practice leaders
    • Directors of Salesforce platform strategy and delivery at Salesforce customers
    • Engagement and program managers moving into practice leadership

Practice lead or delivery leader: which do you need?

A practice lead builds the business: offerings, pricing, pre-sales, hiring and the relationship with Salesforce account teams. A delivery leader runs the work: staffing, utilization, quality and escalations. Many partners need one person to do both early on, then split the roles as the practice grows. At a Salesforce customer, the equivalent hire is a platform leader who owns the roadmap, governance and the team. We settle which of these you are hiring before the search starts.

What a practice lead should be able to show you

    • An offering they built, how they priced it and who bought it
    • Pipeline they sourced or closed in pre-sales, and their win rate
    • The utilization and margin their team ran, and what they did when either dropped
    • Hires they made, including one that did not work out and what they missed
    • How they worked with Salesforce account executives to source deals

    Questions we ask candidates

    • Walk us through the last offering you launched. What would you price differently today?
    • Tell us about a project that ran over budget. What did you change in the practice afterward?
    • Which hire on your team did not work out, and what did you miss in the interview?
    • When sales and delivery disagreed on a deal, how did you decide?

    Recent searches

Salesforce Practice Lead for a nearshore technology firm, 2026. The role combined go-to-market leadership, solutioning and light delivery oversight to scale a new Salesforce practice. The client had a leading candidate and used our search to benchmark against additional senior profiles. When a monthly travel requirement was added mid-search, we told the client the next morning that it would shrink the candidate pool and raise the base salary needed.

Director of Salesforce Platform Strategy and Delivery for a software company, 2026. Our intake recommended governance first: intake, prioritization, release stages and decision rights, with protected capacity for transformation, support and technical debt. The search was built around that operating model.

    How we work

    • Searches are exclusive. One firm works the role.
    • 70 to 80% of our exclusive searches end in a hire. The rest ended in client cancellations, delays or internal hires. None were filled by another firm.
    • Each candidate comes with a written assessment of fit and material risks.
    • We recruit for Salesforce consulting partners and for companies that run Salesforce. We know how practices are measured: utilization, margin, pipeline and retention of billable staff.
