Salesforce and Snowflake Data and Analytics Engineer Recruiting

    Written By:  Josh Matthews

Salesforce Staffing, LLC (The Salesforce Recruiter) recruits data and analytics engineers who work where Salesforce data meets Snowflake. Our clients are software companies and Salesforce customers building revenue reporting, semantic layers and AI-ready data on top of their CRM. We work exclusive, direct-hire searches and place engineers across the US.

    Roles we recruit

    • Analytics engineers modeling Salesforce and SaaS data in Snowflake
    • Data engineers building ELT pipelines from Salesforce into Snowflake
    • Lead analytics engineers who own a governed semantic layer
    • Engineers connecting Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) and Snowflake
    • Data leaders building a company’s first centralized analytics foundation

Data engineer, analytics engineer or Salesforce hire: which do you need?

A data engineer moves and cleans data: pipelines, ingestion and warehouse performance. An analytics engineer turns that data into trusted models and metrics that the business uses. Neither one fixes a Salesforce team’s process or governance problems. When reporting breaks because the CRM itself is inconsistent, the first hire may belong on the Salesforce team. We sort this out on the first call.

What a candidate should be able to show you

    • A pipeline they built personally from a source system into the warehouse, recently
    • How they modeled Salesforce opportunities, accounts and products for revenue reporting
    • How they reconciled Salesforce bookings or ARR with finance numbers, and what did not match
    • A semantic layer or metrics definition they owned, and who relied on it
    • How they worked when the manager was hands-off and the deadline was fixed

    Questions we ask candidates

    • Walk us through the last source-to-warehouse pipeline you built yourself. What broke first?
    • Your Salesforce ARR does not match finance’s number. How do you find out why?
    • Which modeling decision would you reverse, and why?
    • Your manager is unavailable and the dashboard is due Friday. What do you do on Monday?

    A recent search

Senior Analytics Engineer for a software company, 2026. The role built the company’s first centralized analytics foundation: ELT into Snowflake, Salesforce and SaaS data models, a governed semantic layer and AI-ready reporting. Our screen tested Salesforce ARR reconciliation and recent hands-on pipeline work. The client added a SQL case study against Salesforce opportunity data in Snowflake.

    How we work

    • Searches are exclusive. One firm works the role.
    • 70 to 80% of our exclusive searches end in a hire. The rest ended in client cancellations, delays or internal hires. None were filled by another firm.
    • Each candidate comes with a written assessment of fit and material risks.
    • We know the Salesforce data model, so we can test whether a candidate understands the CRM data they will be modeling.

    Common questions

Do you recruit data engineers who know Salesforce?

Yes. We focus on data and analytics engineers who have modeled Salesforce data, most often in Snowflake.

Do you place remote data engineers?

Yes. We recruit US-based engineers for remote, hybrid and onsite roles.

    Who runs the search?

Josh Matthews, President of Salesforce Staffing, runs point on every job order. He has recruited since 1999, has conducted more than 15,000 interviews and hosts The Hiring Edge podcast.
