Salesforce Consultant - Project Management Focused

Job Details :

Salesforce Project Manager

Location: Remote, USA - in one of the above states.

About the Role

Our client, a growing Salesforce SI and Summit-level consulting partner with a strong focus on Agentforce, is seeking a Salesforce Project Manager to lead client implementations from planning through delivery. This is a true PM role — not a consultant role with some project management responsibilities.

The right person is confident owning project timelines, budgets, stakeholder communication, resource coordination, and delivery outcomes across complex Salesforce engagements. They do not need to be the person doing the build, but they do need to understand the Salesforce ecosystem well enough to lead delivery teams, guide conversations with clients, and keep projects on track.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, driving accountability, managing risk, and building trust with client stakeholders while partnering closely with solution and technical leads. The environment is collaborative and process-oriented, with room to improve how work gets done, but it is not a place for someone who tries to bulldoze change overnight.

Compensation: Target base salary of $130,000-$145,000, with flexibility up to $150,000 for the right candidate.

What You’ll Do

Project Leadership

  • Own the full project lifecycle from kickoff through go-live and post-launch follow-up.
  • Build and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, and delivery expectations.
  • Coordinate internal resources across consultants, admins, developers, QA, and client stakeholders.
  • Partner with solution and technical leads on sprint planning, sequencing, and execution oversight.
  • Keep projects moving by identifying blockers early, driving decisions, and escalating issues when needed.

Client Management

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders throughout the engagement.
  • Lead status meetings, steering conversations, stakeholder updates, and executive-level communications.
  • Build credibility with client leadership, including director- and C-suite-level stakeholders.
  • Manage scope closely, identify scope creep early, and help keep delivery aligned to budget and agreed priorities.
  • Create a calm, confident client experience, especially on larger or more complex engagements.

Delivery Oversight

  • Support delivery quality across UAT, QA coordination, readiness planning, and launch preparation.
  • Ensure the right people are engaged at the right time and that work is organized in clear delivery buckets.
  • Help balance team capacity and resource assignments across active projects.
  • Drive accountability while maintaining a collaborative, supportive tone with both internal teams and clients.
  • Contribute to process improvement over time by working within an evolving delivery organization.

What You Bring

  • 4-6 years of project management experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, ideally within a consulting partner, SI, or client-services environment.
  • Strong track record leading Salesforce implementation projects with meaningful scope, budget, and stakeholder complexity.
  • Experience managing projects in roughly the $100K-$400K range, with many projects landing around 600-1,000 hours.
  • Ability to speak the language of Salesforce delivery without needing to be the primary hands-on builder.
  • Experience with stakeholder management, executive communication, resource coordination, timeline ownership, and risk management.
  • Comfort partnering with functional and technical team members across solution design, build, testing, and launch.
  • Strong judgment, organization, and follow-through in fast-moving client environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the nonprofit space is strongly preferred, though exceptional PM talent with the right client empathy and stakeholder presence will also be considered.
  • Salesforce ecosystem exposure is important; certifications are helpful but not the main driver for this hire.
  • Background as a consultant is fine, but the core identity for this role should be project manager first.
  • Experience working in organizations with evolving processes and delivery maturity is a plus.
  • Strong culture fit: collaborative, adaptable, process-minded, low ego, and not a steamroller.

Success in This Role

  • Projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with strong client confidence.
  • Internal teams are aligned on responsibilities, sequencing, and next steps.
  • Risks, delays, and scope issues are surfaced early and managed proactively.
  • Clients feel guided, informed, and well-supported throughout the engagement.
  • Delivery processes improve over time through practical input and steady execution.

Why Join This Opportunity?

Our client is a respected Salesforce consulting partner known for a strong culture, thoughtful leadership, and a genuine commitment to employee success. Team members are supported with clear growth paths, strong compensation, bonus potential, full benefits, and fully remote work.

This is a chance to step into a highly visible delivery role where you can make a real impact on clients, help shape project outcomes, and work with a team that values both excellence and empathy.
