Senior Account Executive - Salesforce Partner - Nonprofit
Job Details :
Senior Account Executive – Nonprofit
Salesforce Partner Channel
If you know the Salesforce nonprofit ecosystem and have sold services (not SaaS), this role gives you the runway to close meaningful deals—without the friction that slows most AEs down.
Our client is a Salesforce Summit Partner with a strong, trusted reputation in the nonprofit channel. Salesforce AEs already know them, trust them, and actively bring them into deals.
The founder remains hands-on in sales and deeply connected across the ecosystem—giving you credibility, access, and a true co-sell partner, while still owning your pipeline end to end.
This role is for an AE who values speed, influence, and consistency—and does not want to inherit delivery problems, re-explain past failures, or navigate internal bureaucracy.
What You’ll Do
Strengthen & Expand the Nonprofit Channel
- Build and deepen relationships with Salesforce nonprofit AEs, RVPs, and partner teams
- Drive co-sell motions and field alignment
- Operate as a trusted partner who understands how nonprofit deals actually move
Create & Advance Opportunities
- Drive first meetings through ecosystem relationships, referrals, and targeted outbound
- Lead consultative discovery with nonprofit executives and operators
- Qualify needs across fundraising, CRM modernization, and program operations
Partner Closely With Delivery
- Collaborate with solution architects, PMs, and leadership on scoping and proposals
- Coordinate demos and technical reviews that unblock deals
- Ensure clean handoffs with clear expectations and success criteria
Stay Current
- Maintain fluency in Nonprofit Cloud, NPSP, and nonprofit CRM patterns
- Track Salesforce releases and nonprofit tech trends
What Success Looks Like
- Consistently generating and advancing nonprofit opportunities
- Strong Salesforce relationships that result in partner-sourced and co-sell deals
- Meeting or exceeding a mid–seven-figure quota
- Being known as dependable, consultative, and easy to work with
What You Bring (Required)
This is not an entry-level consulting sales role.
You must have:
- Direct SI / professional services sales experience
- If you have not sold Salesforce consulting or implementation services (or equivalent SI offerings), you will not be considered.
Additional requirements:
- 5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience
- Existing nonprofit ecosystem relationships or the ability to build them quickly
- Experience co-selling with Salesforce AEs and partner teams
- Strong discovery, scoping, and proposal experience
- Working knowledge of nonprofit operations, fundraising, and CRM concepts
Why This Role Stands Out
- Trusted Salesforce Summit Partner brand
- Founder actively involved in sales (real air cover and credibility)
- Low-bureaucracy, fast-decision environment
- Autonomy to operate like a true AE—without political noise
You are not expected to “own the entire channel,” but you will be a primary driver of its growth.
Compensation
- Base: $120K–$160K (higher for very senior candidates)
- OTE: ~$250-300K
- Commission: Strong, revenue-based
- Incentives: Select bonuses for the right hire
- Travel: Minimal (events, partner meetings, occasional onsite)
- Locations: AZ, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IN, MA, MD, MN, MO, NC, NE, OH, PA, SC, TX, VA, WA
Who Should Not Apply
This role is not a fit if:
- You have not sold Salesforce consulting or SI services
- You rely on transactional selling over consultative discovery
- You need heavy internal direction
- You prefer rigid, process-heavy environments
This role is built for someone who understands the Salesforce ecosystem and knows how nonprofit deals get done.
Apply only if you have both Salesforce Partner BD or AE experience with a nonprofit focus
